Forest of Voices was born from a love for Song Circle Culture and a desire to continue cultivating Community Singing on the West Coast of British Columbia. Join us for a magical weekend of camping filled with singing together in the heart of the forest. Let your voice blend with the sounds of birds and rustling leaves as we come together to celebrate music in an all ages welcome community. This in-person event promises to be a soulful experience that combines both facilitated song circle containers and opportunities to share your own songs with the intention of singing together. This is a co-created space to share and learn heart-based songs. Forest of Voices isn’t a festival or a conference. It is not performative and there are no stages or amplification. This is Song Sharing born from the oral tradition passed through generations.

Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to hum along, everyone is welcome to be part of this harmonious substance-free gathering. At this gathering, voices are at the center, and your voice is wanted and celebrated regardless of what it sounds like!! Come and let your voice be heard in the Forest of Voices!

We are delighted to be gathering at Paradise Within Farm. Paradise Within Farm recognizes and welcomes the growth and sustainable benefits that this gathering will bring to it’s plants and animals.

Land Back:

We gather on Salt Spring Island, part of the homelands of the Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN-speaking peoples—including but not limited to the Penelakut, Quw’utsun, Lyackson, Stz’uminus, Tsawout, Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tseycum, Malahat, and Halalt Nations.

In recognition of these lands and their original stewards, we are committed to practicing material reciprocity. 5% of all event profits will be donated directly to the Stqeeye’ Learning Society—an Indigenous-led non-profit restoring lands and waters at Xwaaqw’um (Burgoyne Bay), a traditional village site of the Quw’utsun Peoples.

In addition, you are warmly invited to make an optional donation when registering. This contribution goes directly to Stqeeye’ and supports Indigenous-led land care, cultural revitalization, and intergenerational knowledge-sharing.

Reciprocity is not a checkbox—it’s a rhythm. We thank you for joining in.

You’re welcome to contact us if you have further questions.

Can’t wait to sing with you ,
