DUNCAN MYTHOLOGY CLUB

Duncan Mythology Club

Monthly Myth Gatherings of the Salish Sea

This is a monthly gathering to share our ancestral stories and to look into the layers of understanding and teachings that they offer. Each month, we will post here on our website the myth for our upcoming session. Please read it prior to our gathering.

The myths will be predominately of Indo-European origins, in an attempt to uncover the remaining vestiges of an intact, land-based culture and spirituality, indigenous to that landscape.  As settlers on this land, we recognize the importance of searching within our own origins for a culture worth living for, that we may come to the table of reconciliation free from the hunger of spiritual poverty. We will find, remaining within these old stories, whispers of profound beauty that touch our deepest longings, nourish our souls, and offer us guidance towards a life of reverence and reciprocity.

All ancestral heritages are welcome and encouraged.

We will share stories and then dive into discussion about our understanding of the myths and how they may be living in our lives or culture during these times.

Please bring a snack to keep your body nourished.

Registration link are below. You do not have to register for all 6 sessions – registration can be done for individual sessions.

We’re looking forward to a winter of story sharing!
