Sense Play

Nature Connection, Music & Movement

Are you a parent interested in Waldorf Pedagogy and inspired by figures like Jon Young, Bill Plotkin, and Tom Brown in the realm of Deep Nature Connection? Do you value the teachings of Kim John Payne, Gabor Mate, and Gordon Neufeld? If so, our new homeschooling weekly classes at Lila Music Centre might be the perfect fit for you and your child.

Join us for 12 weeks of weekly morning sessions in the serene setting of Lila Music Centre, surrounded by a small farm, chickens, gardens, orchard, and close to forested paths and the river. Our two-hour sessions aim to create a village of crafters, explorers, and music makers, fostering imagination, curiosity, and self-discovery through play and nature connection.

Through deep nature connection, play, music, and movement, these sessions will:

  • Expand imagination and creativity
  • Foster a deeper sense of curiosity
  • Support personal self-led discoveries
  • Promote cognitive growth
  • Develop awareness
  • Encourage healthy movement
  • Foster independence
  • Benefit the development of healthy emotional and behavioral patterns
  • Be fun
  • Invite children to relax and express their authentic selves.

Three focused areas of mentoring include Deep Nature Connection, Intuitive Pedagogy, and Music Making & Singing. Led by Cari Burdett, a musician, educator, and mentor in nature connection, these classes cater to mixed ages (7-15 years) and families.
